Model-Specific Pin Connections
The DSP5 switch includes two pre-crimped wires (wire color is irrelevant). Use these exact pin locations for each model:
- 2001-2004 LB7: Blue ECM connector - Pin #49 & Pin #69
- 2004.5-2005 LLY: ECM connector J3 - Pin #32 & Pin #50
- 2006-2010 LBZ/LMM: Larger ECM connector #1 - Pin #46 & Pin #54
- 2011-2016 LML: Gray ECM connector J3 - Pin #11 & Pin #35
Switch Function Verification
- Insert pins into designated ECM locations
- Reconnect ECM and turn ignition to ON position
- Press the white test button on switch backplate
- Single LED illumination confirms proper installation (no light indicates wiring issue)
Switch Mounting Procedure
The DSP5 includes one nut and two washers. Installation requires:
- Base position: Smooth washer with tab inserted in hole #5
- If misaligned: Rotate switch fully counterclockwise and reset washer
- Proper rotation: Must turn exactly 4 positions clockwise (adjust nut tension if needed)
Critical Installation Notes:
- Never cut or ground wire pins
- Loosen set screw before attaching control knob
- Square/rectangular pins only fit one orientation - never force installation
